Randy's Page
Well, Randy retired in 2008 and we have been busy doing quilt shows and taking care of this place which is also known as 'The Runnin Scared Ranch'. We have cattle, goats, one horse and one dog. The price of hay this year is enough to scare anyone. We just bought 26 large rolls at $100.00 each. I was hoping to eat the cows not buy them more hay to eat!
We cut down a Christmas tree from a farm here in Godley last Saturday. Then, Randy decided to stack up some of this expensive hay and make a hay tree with lights. I sure hope the lights don't burn them up!
The granddaughter wanted goats last year for her birthday. So, we took her to the sale barn and got four goats. Then, on Feb. 7th the coldest day of the year one of them had a baby. The little girl was speechless when she came out the next weekend and saw that baby.
We are expecting two more baby goats but they will probably wait until it is snowing before they are born.
Friends were moving and could not take their horse so they gave it to us. Now, she wants a donkey. She would have a large petting zoo if we would let her.
Randy is getting a new toy......a Haulmark Motor Garage. He is planning on retiring next year and I would hate for him to run out of items to maintain and accessorize.
